Steven Antone Meister, 56, passed away March 31, 2021 at his home after a long battle with health complications.
Steve was born December 1, 1964 in Antioch, CA to Walter and Beverly Meister. He grew up in Toledo, WA where he attended school and participated in sports. After graduation, he immediately joined the US Navy where he was a machinist and also played trumpet in the Navy Band.
After his time in the service was over, he married his love, Joan. For two and a half years they drove long haul together for North American Van Lines. One of Steve’s favorite stops was Florida on the Gulf right on the beach.
He enjoyed helping his parents on their farm, loved his family and country, and had a strong relationship with his Heavenly Father. After his father passed away, Steve kept up the tradition of always bringing his mother an Easter lily for Easter and helping her as much as he could. He was considerate, kind, loving and always had a smile on his face. He was a very loved and cherished father, son, brother, nephew and grandson.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Walt, in 2014. He is survived by his mother, Beverly; sisters, Monica and Charlee; children, Chance (Joan Meister) Jasmine (Wendy Countrymen), Shayne (2nd wife Cindy Vance), Eden and Bailey (Lisa); aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews
The funeral service for Steve will be held at 1pm on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel, followed by internment at Lone Hill Cemetery. The viewing will be held 9am-1pm prior to service with snacks and refreshments. All are welcome to attend.
