Roger Frank Lyons, passed away peacefully while sitting in a chair outside, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, and all but one brother (Billy Lyons).
Roger, was born Oct. 20th, 1941 on his family's homestead in Onalaska, WA. 2 years after they moved west from Neb. He was the 2nd youngest of 13, born to William (Bill), and Maggie (Nelson) Lyons.
Roger started farming at an early age and loved working from dawn till dusk, on his family's farm. He had a very strong work ethic that lead him to becoming his father's business partner on the farm, and at 14, he bought his first house in Onalaska.
He followed his older brothers into the logging industry, where he stayed for 20+ years, driving log truck for most of those years.
Roger was a part of The moose lodge (chehalis), where he went dancing every weekend when he was younger. He loved muscle cars, and riding motorcycles.
In 1995, he married Ruby (Gregory) Lyons, they had a son, Austen Lyons, in 1993.
Roger was always full of life and energy, with a bright smile no matter what.
He went with his boots on, just the way he wanted to.
He was a loving Brother, Uncle, step-dad, and the greatest Father anyone could have to raise them.
His ashes will be spread at his family's old property by his son, Austen.
