Johnnie Earl Stakes

August 11, 1945 — September 8, 2024

Longview

It is with great sadness that I share the news of Johnnie Earl Stakes' peaceful passing in her sleep on the morning of September 8th, 2024.

Johnnie Earl Stakes was born on August 11th, 1945. Johnnie was the eldest child of nine siblings, a devoted wife, caretaker and the matriarch of the family. She raised four children with her husband in California, after Arnold Sr. got out of the Navy the family moved to Washington State. It was known that grandma loved grandpa so much that she got divorced and married on the same day. Once in Washington she continued to raise her family and be a homemaker. After the children had grown up, she transformed the house into a residence for adults with disabilities for several years. Johnnie had the biggest heart and always had time for those around her. She loved the holidays and Christmas was her favorite. She enjoyed ceramics, bowling and volunteering at castle rock track with her husband. Johnnie loved fiercely and always saw the good in people. She is a light that the world is now missing.

Johnnie is survived by her siblings: Wylie Cason, James Cason, Linda Wasson and Lisa Doughty. Her children: Richard Renteria and Arnorld Stakes Jr. Her Grandchildren: Justin Renteria, Joel Renteria, Marisa Dunham, Amberlee Renteria, Joslyn Renteria, Colin Smith, Dylan Renteria, and Trista Stakes. Along with nine Great Grandkids. Johnnie will be joining her husband Arnold Stakes Sr. Her two children Victor Renteria and Anthony Renteria. Along with her daughter-in-law Kim Renteria and siblings: David Cason, Sharon Cason, Larry Cason, and Lewis Cason.

Johnnie’s life will be celebrated at her eldest son's house on October 6th.
