Donald Mitchell was born in Palm Springs, California where he lived in the high desert most of his life. When living in California, Donald did work in construction building and framing new homes. Donald and his family took the journey to Washington eight years ago to try something new and different. Here in Washington, Donald worked at Mohawk in the industrial park and later worked as a millwright working green chain and pulling logs.
He is survived by his children: Forrest Jones of Yucca Valley, California; Hayden Jones of Palm Desert, California; Baileey Jones of Yucca Valley, California; McKiernan Mitchell of Yucca Valley, California; Cadence Mitchell of Yucca Valley, California; Gentry Mitchell of Yucca Valley, California, and Havik Mitchell of Yucca Valley, California as well as a cousin: Jenny Chamberlin of Yucca Valley, California.
Donald’s major hobby was riding dirt bikes, which he was very good at. Teaching each and every one of his children to ride for the desert was also a big part of dirt-bike riding and his love for both was great. Donald‘s other point of interest was music. His love for music was immense with his favorite band of all times being Tool. He could also not get enough of Maynard James Keenan, Five Finger Death Punch, and Slipknot, just to name a few. Donald loved to play his guitars and even had a crack at singing here and there - he wasn’t too bad either. He then went on to show his children how to play the guitar. He will be missed greatly!
